A lovely visit to this great little restaurant today. Food was amazing. Husband had the pasta from the specials board and both of really enjoyed the flavoursome sauces which were so different to the chain restaurant sauces. Would definitely return.
This review is on behalf of my mother and father in-law, who are unable to leave their own review due to being old and infirm. They visited during the Edinburgh tattoo and promised Sumet (unsure of spelling) a glowing critique. The food, and service was brilliant. The seafood linguine was amazing and the carbonara was delightful. They are both looking forward to returning in August 2025 when they will be back for the 75th Anniversary of the Tattoo.
Read previous reviews and all the positives were spot on. Don't know why people listed some negatives. Our service was impeccable, Alice took great care of us and our food was excellent and the value was so reasonable
I was with my family for lunch in this wonderful restaurant. The food was amazing, very large and hot portions. Service was fast and pleasant. They fed us very well and took care of us. Thank you, we will definitely come back again

We had the special, fusilli arrabiata and a lasagna with some red and white wine. The food was great and warm and so was the the wine but even better than that was the service. We were served by Summit and he recommended us the wine which we enjoyed. 10/10 would go again.
If you are looking for great food it has to be here. Extensive menu and high quality food. pasta Siciliana is a "paradise for the palate", baked potatoes are the world champion!! The flavours are delicious and the atmosphere brings back memories of a holiday in Italy. Big thanks to the chefs and all the staff. Will always keep coming back here. Highly recommended.
